Neurological | DOT Medical Certification
The
diagnosis of any
neurological issue requires a detailed evaluation be obtained from
your treating physician to demonstrate DOT medical fitness.
Proper documentation is essential to obtain a medical certificate. This includes but is not limited to: neuromuscular dysfunction, poor muscular coordination (ataxia), abnormal sensations (paresthesia), decreased muscular tone (hypotonia), visual disturbances, epilepsy, seizures and or the use of anti-seizure medication, and any other condition which is likely to cause the loss of consciousness or the loss of ability to control a vehicle.
